Since entering China, Tesla has always insisted on making its own charging station. Due to adopting American standards and inconsistent interfaces with other brands of electric vehicles, compatible charging cannot be achieved at other charging stations (stations).

However, Tesla also stated that in the future, Tesla will definitely make corresponding adjustments in accordance with national standards, so that different charging facilities can be interconnected.

Accelerate the promotion of new energy vehicles

Automobile expert Zhang Zhiyong stated that the introduction of charging national standards is crucial for the development of new energy vehicles. It is understood that China's new energy vehicle industry is accelerating its development, and the problems of charging facilities have become the main bottleneck restricting the development of new energy vehicles. Due to non-standard charging standards, the usage rate of charging stations is low, the construction of charging facility networks is chaotic, and the consumer experience is also deteriorating, which is not conducive to the further promotion and development of new energy vehicles.

"The introduction of the national standard for charging new energy vehicles can eliminate consumers' concerns about the difficulty of charging when purchasing new energy vehicles, which will lead to another increase in sales of new energy vehicles. This is beneficial for manufacturers of new energy vehicles, and for manufacturers of charging facilities, by standardizing the standards of charging piles, they can target the installation of charging piles for new energy vehicles, reduce costs, and promote it," said Zhang Zhiyong.

With the change of charging stations, different brands of new energy vehicle charging systems may also need to be adjusted accordingly. Industry insiders believe that the national standard for charging stations should be based on the current charging systems of most new energy vehicles, in order to reduce the new research and development costs of new energy vehicle companies.

In addition, it is reported that the "Guidelines for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure" and "Guidelines for Charging Infrastructure Construction" led by the Energy Bureau are also about to be released. Industry insiders have stated that multiple favorable policies will push the new energy vehicle market to a new height.
